As the lush greenery of Nepal's monsoon season enveloped the landscape, my friends and I embarked on the adventure of a lifetime. Our destination was Panch Pokhari, a place where heaven seemed to touch the earth. Situated in the north of Kathmandu, at an altitude of approximately 4,200 meters, Panch Pokhari is not only a natural wonder but also holds spiritual significance as the "Five Lakes," making it a must-visit destination.

Two Routes to Paradise
Our journey to Panch Pokhari offered two intriguing routes. The first was a 10- to 13-day camping trek starting from Chautara, promising a deeper immersion into the wilderness. The second, a 5-7-day short trek, led us from Bhotang via Sankhu, Melamchi, and Dhap. We chose the latter, a more accessible path, and began our adventure by taking a local bus from Narayantar and Jorpati in Kathmandu to Bhotang.
The Monsoon Magic
Our timing was impeccable; we had chosen to trek during the monsoon season. Everywhere we looked, vibrant greenery surrounded us, creating a mesmerizing atmosphere. This journey was unlike any other, with each day offering new surprises and diverse experiences.
