Hyatt Regency Kathmandu celebrated the start of the festive season with its annual Cake Mixing Ceremony on Friday, November 8, 2024, bringing together a vibrant mix of guests, including ambassadors, influencers, bloggers, and well-known faces from around the city. This year’s event was marked by a record-breaking 24-foot-wide cake mixing table—the largest in Kathmandu.
The Cake Mixing Ceremony is a beloved holiday tradition, symbolizing unity and the joyful spirit of the season. Guests gathered around the table to mix a variety of dry fruits and nuts with spices and spirits, preparing the blend for Christmas. The grand setup by Hyatt Regency Kathmandu made this year's celebration even more memorable, with the impressive table setting the tone for a warm and festive gathering.
Executive Chef Suvendu Roy and his culinary team delighted guests with a diverse selection of dishes from the hotel’s three popular restaurants: The Living Room, Rox Restaurant, and Sesame Restaurant. Good food, lively music by the poolside, and laughter filled the air, adding a sense of togetherness to the occasion.
“We are thrilled to bring everyone together for this time-honored tradition. The holiday season is all about togetherness and celebration, and this year we wanted to take it a step further by creating an immersive experience with the city’s largest cake mixing table.” said Ashish Kumar, General Manager of Hyatt Regency Kathmandu.
The Hyatt Regency Kathmandu’s grand Cake Mixing Ceremony has once again set the stage for a festive season filled with joy, connection, and celebration.
