Biska Jatra, the nine-day festival is an exuberant celebration of the incoming of spring and new beginnings. Commencing four days prior to the Nepali New Year in Bhaktapur and concluding today, Biska Jatra, this year has undoubtedly taken over your feed.

A kaleidoscope of images come to mind when you think of the on goings of this festival. Spectators, religious processions, mystical deities, tantric rituals, the tug of war of the tall lingams and so much more. Rejoicing and observing everyday of this festival is a fresh experience. The Sindoor Jatra is the most colourful that comes to mind. This year on April 15, Sindoor Jatra was celebrated with much fervour in Thimi, Bhaktapur.
