The beauty of the waterfall, combined with the natural settlement and the cultural attractions nearby, makes it an ideal destination for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts

I recently had the opportunity to explore a new scenic spot in Nepal, Tindhare Jharana, and I have to say, it is truly a hidden gem. Located in the Roshi municipality of the Kavre district, this pristine waterfall carries huge potential as a tourism destination.

To reach Tindhare Jharana, my friends and I took a short ride to Falamesanghu from Kathmandu and then hiked for about an hour from Jarukhola. The hike was not too difficult, but we had to be careful while walking on the trail as it was a bit slippery.

As we reached closer to the waterfall, we were amazed by the beauty of the creation of nature. Tindhare Jharana is around 300 m tall and has three major water streams shaped like a trident. It was a unique experience for me as I had never seen anything like this before.

The surroundings of the waterfall were also mesmerizing. The natural settlement, with its lush greenery and pristine environment, added to the charm of the place. We spent hours exploring the area and taking photos.

One of the most interesting things about Tindhare Jharana is its history. It wasn't a popular tourist destination until recently, and it was only after social media exposure that it gained popularity among the younger generation. The exponential growth of people visiting Tindhare Jharana has made it a joyful sensation, and a lot of people are seen posting their photos and videos on social media. Even during the pandemic, Tindhare Jharana observed more than a thousand people on a daily basis. The gentle touch of pristine nature proved to be a delightful experience for everyone.

Apart from Tindhare Jharana, there are other attractions in the area, such as the Namobuddha monastery and the beautiful Dhulikhel. We also explored the cultural Newari villages on the way, which were a major part of our journey. The local governing body is working towards improving the trail to the waterfall, and we could see some work in progress, such as fencing and paving the trail.

The hike to the waterfall may be a bit challenging, but the experience is truly worth it. The beauty of the waterfall, combined with the natural settlement and the cultural attractions nearby, makes it an ideal destination for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts. The hike is not too difficult, but it is advisable to wear comfortable shoes and carry a water bottle.

One of the best things about Tindhare Jharana is that it is still relatively untouched by commercialization. There are no large crowds or vendors selling trinkets, and it still retains its natural beauty. However, it is important to keep it that way by maintaining cleanliness and not littering the area.

The local community is working towards developing Tindhare Jharana as a sustainable tourism destination. The potential for tourism in this area is enormous, and it can help generate income and employment opportunities for the locals. However, it is essential to develop it in a responsible manner, keeping in mind the preservation of the environment and the local culture.

My visit to Tindhare Jharana was a wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique adventure. The beauty of the waterfall, combined with the natural settlement and the cultural attractions nearby, makes it an ideal destination for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts. The hike to the waterfall may be a bit challenging, but the experience is truly worth it. It is a place that should be on the bucket list of every traveler who wishes to explore the pristine beauty of Nepal.
