Walking through the protected woods, guarded by the Nepalese Army, I was serenaded by the melodious chirping of birds and the rustling of leaves. Nature enthusiasts will delight in the opportunity to spot diverse flora and fauna and perhaps even catch a glimpse of elusive wildlife.
But the ultimate reward awaits at the hill's summit. As I reached the top, a panorama of the Kathmandu Valley unfolds before my eyes. The sweeping vistas stretch far and wide, offering a breathtaking view of the majestic Annapurna, Manaslu, Jugal, and Langtang mountain ranges on clear days. It's as if the smiling Himalayas themselves cheered me on during this tranquil hike.

The Jamacho hiking trails are well-developed, with cemented steps ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable journey. While a motorable road does exist, I highly recommend choosing the hiking path for an authentic nature experience. The 5-kilometer hike from the bottom to the hilltop takes around 3–4 hours, depending on one's walking pace.
