Kathmandu Valley remains the hotspot with Kathmandu reporting has 507, Lalitpur 61 and Bhaktapur 50 new cases

The Ministry of Health and Population has recorded 1,246 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours. PCR tests were conducted among 10,614 persons at various laboratories across the country.

According to Spokesperson at the Ministry, Dr Jageshwor Gautam, the total number of infection has now reached 59,573 in the country.

The number of people recovering from the infection in the last 24 hours stands at 243, thereby totaling the recovery at 42,949. Currently, the recovery rate is 72 percent. Total number of active cases is 16,241, Dr Gautam added.

Moreover, Dr Gautam informed that Kathmandu Valley has been the hotspot of late with 616 infection cases in the last 24 hours alone.  Kathmandu has 507, Lalitpur 61 and Bhaktapur 50.

Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Morang, Sunsari, Siraha, Makwanpur, Chitwan and Rupandehi districts have more than 500 active cases each, while Solukhumbu, Mustang, Dolpa, Mugu and Humla districts are no case of coronavirus.
