The Nepal Medical Association (NMA) has called upon the government to boost the morale of doctors and health workers involved in the treatment of COVID-19 patients.
In a statement today, NMA’s Secretary-General, Badri Rijal has demanded that health workers and doctors involved in the treatment of Coronavirus patients by risking their lives be given live insurance, health care insurance and special insurance to keep their morale high.
The doctors should also be provided with basic security equipment as recommended by the World Health Organization, the NMA list of demand states.
The NMA has further stressed the need for more concrete steps to make the campaign against COVID-19 effective through better coordination between the federal, state and local governments.
