Commercial paragliding flights will start in the skies of Parbat headquarters Kushma Bazaar and Balewa area of Baglung. After the completion of the international airport under construction in Pokhara, while the search for an alternative to paragliding from Sarangkot is underway, the construction of infrastructure for commercial paragliding in the vicinity of the mountain headquarters Kushma Bazaar has started in Balewa.
Infrastructure construction has been started in Balewa for commercial paragliding. The Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment of the Gandaki state government has started construction of infrastructure at Panyupata in Baglung Municipality-13. Infrastructure construction has been started at the place where paragliding takes off.
Minister for Industry, Tourism, Forests and Environment, Vikas Lamsal, said that there is a good potential for paragliding in Dhaulagiri as the activities of adventure tourists are increasing as Gandaki has started construction of paragliding infrastructure in five places including Baglung. Minister Lamsal said that the former Dhaulagiri area is being linked with adventure tourism.
Successful tests have been carried out twice for paragliding from the Balewa-based patrol and landing after observing the mountain headquarters along the Balewa area. You can also land at the airport in Balewa or at Badagaun Chaur in Chandika Gana in Kushma Bazaar.
Chairman of the Paragliding Infrastructure Construction Committee, Padam Bahadur Giri, informed that the Gandaki state government has started construction of the infrastructure by allocating Rs. According to him, runway improvement of toilets, toilets, waiting rooms, offices and other structures will be constructed. He said that the construction of the structure will be completed within two months and the registration of the paragliding organization will be taken forward.
The place for paragliding is at an altitude of 1,854 meters. Residents of Parbat and Balewa areas of Baglung will directly benefit from the introduction of paragliding in the area. To reach here, one can cross the Maldhunga or Kushma-Kaiya high suspension bridge, Kushma-Balewa mechanical bridge and the world's tallest bungee jump bridge.
