The Delhi state government on Sunday announced more COVID-19 lockdown relaxations, opening restaurants with 50 percent seating and all shops. Till now only 50 percent of shops were allowed to open alternatively every day. Announcing the relaxations, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal allowed all economic activities, except some that will remain prohibited and some that will continue in a restricted manner.

All schools, colleges, and other educational institutions, will continue to remain closed. Among the places that will remain closed include gymnasiums, swimming pools. Temples and other religious places have been allowed to open, but no devotees would be allowed. The new relaxations will be implemented with effect from Monday, said Kejriwal and added "This will be done on a trial basis for a week and if cases increase, stricter restrictions will be imposed."
