The Embassy of Nepal in Bangkok, in collaboration with the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), organized a Tourism Promotion program in Bangkok, Thailand, on Thursday. The event saw participation from 75 companies from both Nepal and Thailand, including 25 travel and tour operators from Nepal and 50 from Thailand.
Attendees included representatives from Nepal Airlines Corporation, Thai Airways, Thai Lion Air, officials from the Thai government, business entrepreneurs, media personnel, members of the Non-Resident Nepali Association, and various other stakeholders.
During the program, the Ambassador of Nepal to Thailand, Dhan Bahadur Oli, encouraged participants to explore business opportunities within Nepal's tourism industry. He emphasized that Nepal is a year-round destination catering to a wide range of travelers, including those interested in cultural and heritage sites, nature, pilgrimage, adventure, leisure, sports, and jungle safaris.
The Embassy expressed confidence that such business meetings would foster opportunities for networking, partnership development, and information sharing between the two business communities to leverage the tourism potential.
Vitidnan Rojanapanich, the first Thai Everest summiteer in 2008 and President of the Thai-Nepal Friendship Association, shared his experiences about Nepal and the Himalayas with the participants. Additionally, Nabin Pokharel from NTB delivered a presentation titled ‘Experience Nepal: Lumbini to Himalayan Bliss,’ highlighting Nepal's major tourist attractions.
