The government has decided to resume public transport on short and long routes. With this, all vehicles entering the Kathmandu Valley from outside are also allowed by following the health protocols. Earlier, only vehicles plying the Kathmandu Valley and the vehicles entering the Valley from outside for specific purposes have been allowed. 

As per the Cabinet decision on July 19, the Kathmandu District Administration Office had asked transport entrepreneurs to manage accordingly. This move aims to ease mobility of general people, and students in particular to attend examinations conducted by the Tribhuvan University and the Public Service Commission, said the Administration Office in a statement on Friday.
