The GP Koirala Respiratory Disease Treatment Centre in Belchautara in ward no. 5 of Sukhlagandaki municipality has resumed service. Services at the hospital had closed since a laboratory staff tested positive for Corona Virus on October 1.

Another five staffers of the hospital were found infected by the virus in a test carried out of 50 persons based on contact tracing. All services have been resumed from Sunday, Executive Director of the Centre Dr Ram Kumar Shrestha said. The centre was made fully safe before resuming service.

Meanwhile, Medical Superintendent of Damauli Hospital Dr Sunil Poudel has also tested positive for the virus along with the hospital's office assistant. Three more staffers of the hospital await their results from PCR tests.

Currently, service at the hospital has started. A decision will be taken after a test is carried out of others based on contact tracing of those infected, hospital sources said.
