Chief Minister of Bagmati, Dormani Poudel, has said that strict action would be taken against hospitals denying treatment to patients under different pretexts. Issuing a statement on Thursday, Chief Minister Poudel mentioned that it was necessary to see hospitals from the point of pure humanitarian service, wiping out the commercial mindset.
He expressed sadness over the senseless activities and acts against humanity by some hospitals while directing the hospital management to change their behavior.
Lauding the role played by health workers in this situation, the Chief Minister thanked health workers and security personnel for their contributions and round-the-clock duty for preventing coronavirus. “News about people suffering and not getting treatment in some private hospital hurts me. I request all concerned to correct themselves and continue with their services. The Bagmati state will carry out investigations and take action against hospitals under its jurisdiction,” reads the statement.
