The Karnali highway obstructed due to floods and landslides since the past one week as heavy rainfall-triggered floods and landslides in several locations.
Landslides in more than a dozen of locations including Dahikhola, Kalekhola, Jitegad, Hulma, Molfa, Pili, Serabada, Chaukhola, Takulla etc. have blocked traffic on the road, said District Police Office, Kalikot Chief DSP Shyam Oliya. Efforts are on to clear the highway.
The obstruction of the highway is an annual affair every monsoon. And if the highway is not upgraded along the bridges construction over the rivers along the way, this will keep go continue.
