In a bid to minimise crowding at the Balkhu and Kalimati vegetable market, the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has assigned 11 various places as vegetable sales outlets.
The places assigned for this purpose are Kalanki Chowk, Bafal Chowk, Swoyambhu Chowk, Banasthali Chowk, Gongabu Chowk, Basundhara Chowk, Gopikrishnahall Chowk, Teenkune Chowk, Lainchaur, Ratna Park and Koteshwor Chowk.
Vegetables can be sold from these places until 8 am as an alternative vegetable market throughout the lockdown period, according to KMC Agriculture Department Chief Hari Bahadur Bhandari. He shared that all kinds of fruits and vegetables would be available at these spots.
