Kuse Danda, which can be reached in half-an-hour by road from Damak, is a perfect point to view the southern plains of Jhapa and northern hills of Ilam

Ilam has added a new destination to its list of dozens of popular destinations. Kuse Danda, a picture-perfect hillock located at Chulachuli Rural Municipality, has become the new hot spot to visit in the southern belt of Ilam.
Travelers from adjoining Jhapa district frequent this place. A local and popular poet, Sundar Kurup, informed that Kuse Danda is also called 'Ngin Kokma' in indigenous Limbu language. Locals use both names.

The Kuse Danda Tourism Promotion Committee has been formed to make it must-visit travelling point within two years. A viewpoint, pavement, picnic spot and platforms have been constructed in this destination. 
Similarly, Chairperson of Chulachuli Rural Municipality Ward Number 1, Dhruwa Lawati, said detailed project report (DPR) was also finalized further infrastructural development in the area.

Kuse Danda area has also hosted some literary programmes. On Saturday, a literary programme was held where some poets recited their creation and two literary books were unveiled. 

The literary programme titled 'Literature with Nature' unveiled two anthologies of poetry. 'Seudiko Ful' by Tilak Rai and 'Sirjalaka Ful' by Himal Subba 'Gurans' were jointly unveiled by chief guest Dhiraj Sharma, the directly elected State Assembly Member from Ilam and literary personality Khem Nepali, among others.

It sees around dozen travelers from outside even in time of ongoing pandemic, informed locals.
