Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai has said that a master plan would be unveiled for tourism promotion in the eastern hilly districts including Taplejung.
Stating that tourism activities were slow despite immense potential, Minister Bhattarai stated that plans for tourism development would be forwarded in this region.
Marking the beginning of Tourism and Mountaineering subject at Bhanujan Secondary School this morning, the Minister shared that the government would give special focus for Mt. Kanchanjangha, Pathibhara Temple, Phungphunge falls, Timbung Pokhari and other touristic sites.
Minister Bhattarai hoped that study of this subject would help promote tourism-friendly behavior and other practices accordingly besides job creation. On the occasion, he called for publicity, sufficient tourism infrastructure and tourism-friendly conduct as well as concerted efforts of all for the best use of the available opportunities.
