Police have arrested two persons along with valuable pangolin scales from Maitidevi, Kathmandu. A team of the Metropolitan Police Circle, Singha Durbar, arrested him on Monday while he was transporting carcasses in a taxi (Ba 2 Ja 657) plying near Maitidevi Petrol Pump at Kathmandu Metropolitan City-29.

Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, Deputy Superintendent of Police Pramesh Bista said that Ram Mijar, 32, of Sindhupalchowk and Nawaraj Mijar, 27, of the same district has been arrested on the charge of smuggling salak.

The police confiscated 4.45 grams of scales hidden in a black bag Mijars had. The necessary investigation is underway with both the arrested persons, police said.
