How do you see your current role as contributing to your organization and tourism in Nepal?

In my current role as the Director of Sales and Marketing at the Hyatt Regency Kathmandu, I play a pivotal role in contributing to both the success of the organization and the broader tourism landscape in Nepal. Through strategic sales initiatives and marketing campaigns, I aim to elevate the hotel's profile, attract international and domestic visitors, and enhance the overall guest experience. By fostering partnerships and promoting the unique offerings of Nepal, I aspire to contribute to the growth and enrichment of the country's tourism sector.

What, in your opinion, needs to be done to help Nepal's tourism industry flourish?

To foster the flourishing of Nepal's tourism industry, a multifaceted approach is essential. Firstly, there should be a concerted effort to improve infrastructure, ensuring smooth connectivity and accessibility to key tourist destinations. Sustainable tourism practices and environmental conservation should be prioritized to preserve Nepal's natural beauty. Collaborations between the public and private sectors can lead to effective marketing strategies, showcasing the diverse cultural and adventure offerings. Additionally, investing in training programs for hospitality professionals and maintaining high service standards will enhance the overall visitor experience, encouraging repeat visits and positive word-of-mouth promotion.

What are you passionate about, or what keeps you entertained, motivated, and refreshed?

I am deeply passionate about exploring new cultures and cuisines and finding inspiration in the diversity of global hospitality. The dynamic nature of the hospitality industry keeps me motivated, as every day presents unique challenges and opportunities for innovation. To stay refreshed, I indulge in continuous learning, whether it's staying updated on industry trends or exploring new management strategies. I find joy in fostering a positive work culture and mentoring aspiring professionals, contributing to both personal and collective growth within the team.

What is the best thing to do in Nepal that you would suggest to a tourist or visitor?

For an extraordinary adventure in Nepal, I highly recommend the Everest Base Camp trek. This iconic journey takes you through the heart of the Khumbu region, offering awe-inspiring views of the world's highest peak, Mount Everest, and other majestic Himalayan peaks. The trek provides an immersive experience of Sherpa culture, passing through picturesque villages and monasteries. I would like to attempt Everest base camp trekking because trekking teaches you to embrace uncertainty, adapt to change and disruption, perseverance, and patience.
