Devashila of Kaligandaki taken to Ayodhya

Devashila excavated from Nepal's Kali Gandaki River was taken to Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh, India last night. The stone was taken there to make an idol of Lord Rama to be placed in the Ram temple under construction in Ayodhya.

The team with the stones taken from the bank of Kaligandaki river in Beni Municipality-6 Thulopahiro of Myagdi reached there, two days after leaving Janakpurdham for Ayodhya on the 16th of Magh. Along with entering Ayodhya, General Secretary of Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust, Champat Rai, led the Nepalese delegation and gave a grand welcome to the team including Janaki Mandir Mahant Ramatapeshwar Das, Nepali Congress leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Bimalendra Nidhi.

A large number of local people who were present reverently brought in the stone. Mahanth Das of Janaki Mandir informed that the stone has been kept at Ram Sevak Puram on Wednesday and there is a program to hand it over to Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust during a special ceremony this morning.

Champat Rai, general secretary of the trust said, “After a special ritual, the Devashila will be adopted. He informed the RAS, “The trust will formally understand Devashila after a bilateral ritual worship involving Nepal and India at Ram Sevak Puram in Ayodhya.”

Earlier on Wednesday morning, Devashila was moved towards Ayodhya after a special havan puja at Gorakhnath temple complex in Gorakhpur._RSS
