Fairs and festivals have been organized in various areas in Rupandehi for the promotion of the businesses that have slowed down due to the pandemic. This year, the association of industrialists in the district, organized the festival.
People from the neighboring districts of Kapilvastu, Nawalparasi, and other districts also come to see the fair in the district. The eighth Lumbini National Festival 2079 (Tourism Festival, Agriculture and National Industrial Trade Fair) is currently going on at Bhairahawa. The 15th National Industrial Exhibition, Agriculture, Technology and Tourism Festival is starting in Butwal from Poush 7th, while the National Industrial Trade Fair, Agriculture and Tourism Festival was completed in Tilottama only last Wednesday.
Rupandehi Industry Association, Rupandehi Trade Association, and Butwal Industry and Commerce Association have been organizing Alopalo Mela and Festival in Butwal.
Siddharthnagar Municipality and Lumbini Development Fund are co-organizers of the fair, which is promoted by Nepal Tourist Board Kathmandu and Tourism Development Council Lumbini.
The festival has 250 stalls related to agriculture, food, clothing, domestic and small industry products, tourism, and automobiles. After the Bhairahawa festival ended on the 4th of January, the 15th National Industrial Exhibition has been prepared in Butwal with the slogan of 'The basis of building a prosperous Nepal, expansion of indigenous entrepreneurship'.
National Industrial Exhibition Agriculture, Technology and Tourism Festival-2079 has been organized with the aim of showcasing and marketing indigenous products. An exhibition has been organized at the International Exhibition Center under construction at Butwal Mandap under the auspices of Rupandehi Udyog Sangh.
Rupandehi Industry Association was established in the year 2035 B.S. with the aim of supporting the industrial development of the country by protecting and promoting the rights and interests of industrialists. The association organized the National Industrial Exhibition for the first time outside the capital Kathmandu in 2045 B.S.
The sub-committee formed for the work to be completed before the start of the exhibition at Butwal-10 Butwal Mandap is holding daily meetings, making plans, and reviewing. Special priority has been given to technology in the exhibition. A separate stall area has been constructed to give an opportunity to directly observe the products of large industries at the exhibition site.
Industrial technology, information technology, restaurant, agriculture, handicrafts, floriculture, garment, bakery and confectionery, leather shoes, food, IT, and other stalls will be present in the exhibition.
The 2nd Tilottama National Industrial Trade Fair, Agriculture, and Tourism Festival which was organized at Manigram in Tilottama ended with a financial transaction of Rs 150 million only last Wednesday. Five lakh and five thousand spectators and consumers watched the festival. School-level dance competitions, open dance competitions, mummy dances, wrestling competitions, and badminton competitions were also conducted in the festival which started on the last 15th of November.
Two hundred and 41 stalls participated in the festival organized by the Tilottma Industry and Trade Association and co-organized by the Tilottma Chamber of Commerce and the Tilottma Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
“The industrialists who are in trouble due to the prolonged effect of Coronavirus and the high-interest rates of the banks will get some relief,” Bhishma Prasad Neupane, President of Industry and Commerce Association Siddharth Nagar, believes.
