One of the well-known Hindu temples in Lalitpur is the Santaneshwor Mahadev temple. People who are childless are said to go to the deity in order to be granted offspring. Santaneshwor Mahadev temple is also mentioned in the Hindu holy epic "Shree Swasthani Brata Katha".
