Myths

The famous scenic hilltop has many interesting stories related to the place. Legend says that the fog was created by Maharishi Parasar to protect his love Machhegand (mother of Maharishi Bed Byas), who was believed to reside in Damauli, which is right beneath the hilltop.

Getting there    

Reaching Manung Kot is not an ice-breaking job. Take a vehicle for Damauli, which lies between Pokhara and Mugling. Once you are in Damauli, there are mainly three options to reach the hill of the Manung. You can either hike, which is almost an hour or two from Damauli itself, or you can take a public vehicle or take your private vehicle to the hilltop.

Best Time to Visit

A 365-day destination is an ideal place to visit any time of the year. But if you want to get the best fog view October, November, December, January, and February is the best time.
