The Natural History Museum boasts approximately 9,000 varieties of plants, encompassing both flowering and non-flowering species. Another section showcases numerous species of vertebrates and invertebrates, featuring an impressive collection of around 40,000 species, including prehistoric shells, animal fossils, snakes, and butterfly species.

Museum of Taragaon


Originally conceived by Australian architect Carl Pruscha in 1972 as the Taragaon Hostel, this establishment underwent a transformation 42 years later into a contemporary museum. The Taragaon Museum aims to preserve and showcase Nepal's vibrant culture and architecture.

This outstanding museum is ideal for those interested in tracing the evolution of Nepalese culture over the years. It features paintings, photographs, sculptures, maps, and various artworks from the 18th and 19th centuries, displayed across seven buildings. The structures, covering 35,000 square feet and constructed from red-facing bricks, represent an amalgamation of architectural styles separated by stone-paved courtyards.

Military Museum of Nepal

The Aviation Museum of Nepal came into being when Captain Bed Upreti observed the wreckage of an Airbus 330-300 that crash-landed at Tribhuvan International Airport. This innovative idea, in collaboration with the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, has transformed a tragic incident from March 2015 into an intriguing museum.
