One of Nepal’s most stunning homestay hikes is the Ruby Valley Trek. Compared to other high-altitude treks in Nepal, the Ruby Valley Trek is significantly simpler and shorter.
The route to Ruby Valley includes a variety of landscapes, human cultures, and animals, in addition to the most breathtaking and up-close mountain views of the Ganesh Himal, Langtang, and Manaslu ranges.
The Rhododendron, the national flower of Nepal, and numerous other blooms, including Pines and Orchids in the background, embellish the Ruby Valley in the spring.
When the winter and summer months can be pretty tough due to the cold and rain, the summer and autumn are slightly different since they are less crowded. If you like avoiding crowds while trekking in the Himalayas, these seasons may be ideal.
The most exquisite vistas and terrain of the Himalayas can be found inside Ruby Valley, but when you visit those intriguing villages while on the tour, you’ll also learn about people of diverse ethnicities, lifestyles, and customs, notably Gurung and Tamang people. The itinerary for the trek is given below:
Day 1 – Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (by local Bus or Jeep)
Day 2 – Trek from Syabrubesi to Gatlang village
Day 3 – trek from Gatlang to Somdang
Day 4 – Trek from Somdang to Tipling via Pasang
Day 5 – Trek from Tipling to Chalisa
Day 6 – Rest day at Chalisa Gaun
Day 7 – Trek from Chalish to Khading Village
Day 8 – Rest day at Khading Village
Day 9 – trek from Khadin to Dundure/ Lower Borang
Day 10 – Drive back to Kathmandu by Bus or Jeep.
To trek to Ruby Valley, you need two trekking permits.
The first one is the Langtang National Park permit which is about 13 US Dollars to SAARC nations and 29 US Dollars to others.
The second permit is the Trekkers’ Information Management System (TIMS) card which costs around 10 US Dollars.
