Nepali Traditional Afternoon Tea
Nepali traditional afternoon tea is a celebration of local delicacies. The menu is a tribute to Nepal's culinary heritage. Every bite takes you on a journey through Nepal’s diverse regions delivering a taste of culture right on your plate.
Savory Delights
Selroti with Achar: Starting with a traditional Nepali treat Selroti, a rice flour doughnut, served with a tangy pickle. The Selroti was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and it paired perfectly with the spicy and tangy flavors of the achar.
Bara and Chatamari: A beautiful fusion of Newari lentil patties and rice crepes, was perfect when paired with flavorful Nepali curries. This dish was a combination of both textures and spices that was satisfying.
Sweet Temptations
Lakhamari with Gundpak: The classic Newari sweet, Lakhamari, paired with Gundpak, a rich fudge made from condensed milk and ghee provided a nostalgic and delicious end to the meal.
Yomari, Pustakari, and Other Nepali Delicates: You can also indulge in the sweetness of Yomari, Pustakari (a jaggery fudge), and other traditional Nepali sweets. These delicacies offered a perfect balance of sweetness and flavors. Yomari has to be my personal favorite with its rich jaggery filling.

The British Afternoon Tea with a Nepali Twist
The British Afternoon Tea with a Nepali Twist was a delightful fusion of cultures that tantalized my taste buds and reconnected me to the diverse landscapes of Nepal that is Himal, Pahad and Terai. It was an experience of a truly regal afternoon tea with authentic flavors of Nepal in every sip and bite.
First Course: The first course began with a meal of bold and aromatic tea along with savory sandwiches of whole wheat inspired by the Terai region. The flavors were absolutely fresh and flavorful.
Second Course: I enjoyed hearty scones with mango and orange jams, which reminded me of the Pahad (hilly) traditional cuisine.
Third Course: At last, I had Himalayan-inspired sweets, including Mustang apple tarte tatin, timmur-infused chocolates, and a Madeleine with Himalayan Citrus Flavors. These flavors were natural and firm, I personally loved it.
