Aloft Kathmandu Thamel celebrated its cake mixing ceremony with fun and enthusiasm leaving everyone in a festive spirit

Aloft Kathmandu Thamel held a cake mixing ceremony to ring in the joyous season of Christmas. The event held on November 30, 2021 was hosted by the Honorary Consul General of Italy for Nepal, Pratima Rana Pande and led by the Executive Chef of the hotel, Rajeev Shrestha and his culinary team.

In the presence of a group of dynamic ladies the mixing of ingredients for the special Christmas celebration commenced. The infusion of fresh fruits, almonds, raisins, prunes, dried cranberries and cherries, spices and grains tare soaked in premium alcoholic spirits like rum and brandy as well as orange juice and butter made the experience all the sweeter.

The General Manager of Aloft Kathmandu Thamel, Vikram Singh shared, “We are happy to mark the start of the festive season once again.” Executive Chef, Rajeev Shrestha added, “The age-old tradition of cake-mixing marks the joyous arrival of Christmas and harvest season.”

 Aloft had invited dignitaries from the Embassy of Thailand, Kanyapak Vorasaph and Natamon Kunjara; Ambassador of Russia, Alina B.Novikova; Ambassador of Germany - Anuza Prinz.

The mixture concocted during this ceremony will be stowed until Christmas to create sweet goodies like plum cakes, plum puddings, stolen bread, and cookies. The ceremony was followed by a light supper with an array of treats and freshly made mulled wine.
