In honour of the sacred occasion of Buddha Jayanti, Soaltee Westend Resort Nagarkot hosted a tranquil and culturally immersive morning ceremony, offering guests a rare opportunity to connect with the spiritual essence of the day.
Observed across Nepal to commemorate the birth, enlightenment, and passing of Gautama Buddha, the occasion was marked at the resort with a thoughtfully curated gathering at its on-site stupa. Set against the quiet, mist-kissed hills of Nagarkot, the ceremony created an atmosphere of reflection and calm.
The programme featured a traditional puja led by a monk, accompanied by the lighting of 108 diyo battis—a symbolic act representing purity and enlightenment. Guests also took part in the offering of lungdar (prayer flags), embodying wishes for peace, compassion, and harmony.
Commencing at 9:00 AM, the experience was exclusively curated for in-house guests, forming part of the resort’s ongoing commitment to deliver experiences rooted in authenticity and cultural depth.
