The Ambassador's journey started in 1963 when a residential bungalow was turned into a hotel. The rooms that are divided into Standard, Superior, Deluxe and Deluxe with balcony are well lit, cosy, and spacious and offers a high standard of service. They provide all the essentials like TV, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, electric kettle, mini bar, iron and ironing board. They also offer lockers in each room.

One of the most unique things about the Ambassador is that even though they are in the middle of a vibrant part of town their double glazed windows make the room sound proof. It is indeed your quite room in the city. Its deluxe room with balcony offers guests a great place to sit out and relax while watching the city.

The carefully planned hotel also has food and shopping outlets within the premises. The famous restaurant Kotetsu offers an authentic Japanese experience. From the restaurant, you can look out into the city while you dine. Kotetsu serves freshly made Japanese delicacies like Sushi and Sashimi that are a treat to the palate.

Flat Iron Grill serves American gourmet style sandwiches, soups and salads made from fresh ingredients. It is the perfect spot for a quick lunch and an ideal place to satisfy your hunger. When you’re in Nepal you have to try the famous momos, and at Momo Queen, another outlet at the Ambassador you get a variety of options which are unique and delicious. Don’t forget to especially try their fish and chocolate momos.  

Ambassador also has a luxury fashion brand Tissah that makes handmade jewellery and accessories that are ideal to take back as souvenirs. The design of each piece is crafted by skilled local artisans of Nepal. A trip to Nepal is incomplete without the purchase of an elegant pashmina or a beautiful cashmere scarf. Ardor is a luxury brand outlet in the hotel which is known for making the finest cashmere and pashmina products in Nepal. For those who love trekking, the Ambassador also has Cosmo Trek a joint venture between Nepal and Japan that offers trekking enthusiast a wide variety of travel services.
