The Hotel Ambassador is a four-star hotel located at Lazimpat, one of the most vibrant areas of Kathmandu. It is an ideal place for guests to experience everything great the city has to offer. The Ambassador's journey started in 1963 when a residential bungalow was turned into a hotel. It was then demolished in 2012 and now stands tall at the centre of Kathmandu and carries the legacy of uncompromised hospitality. Designed by the Managing Director Rahul Shakya, the Ambassador now combines contemporary design with local artistry to create an ambience that is urban yet unique.

The new Ambassador outlines a fresh dimension of luxury with its diverse range of accommodations designed to suit the varying needs of patrons. Each room displays a unique setting that is inspired by Kathmandu's evolving identity which celebrates modernity while preserving its local heritage and tradition. The rooms that are divided into Standard, Superior, Deluxe and Deluxe with balcony are well lit, cosy, and spacious and offers a high standard of service. They provide all the essentials like TV, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, electric kettle, mini bar, iron and ironing board. They also offer lockers in each room.
One of the most unique things about the Ambassador is that even though they are in the middle of a vibrant part of town their double glazed windows make the room sound proof.
