Siddhartha Highway is one of the most exciting Nepalese roads leading from Pokhara through the green hills of Lower Himalayan (or Mahabharata Range) up to the Terai plains bordering with India. Most of the travelers using this route are likely to be the visitors wanting to travel between the two countries - India and Nepal or are on their way to the birth of Lord Buddha, Lumbini. This highway, also known as H10, is the shortest route from Pokhara to the Indian border - Sunauli. This 182 km route from the terai region in southern Nepal to the mountain region in northern Nepal started its construction work in 1964 and was completed in the year 1971.

Siddhartha highway, named after Lord Buddha (Siddhartha Gautam), covering crisscross routes, and a descent brake testing path is not a usual path taken to reach Pokhara but a fascinating one to travel for nature lovers.
