Square Hotel hosted its annual afternoon cake-mixing ceremony, bringing together guests for festive traditions, community celebration, and a showcase of Nepali flavours.

Square Hotel marked the beginning of the festive period with its much-anticipated annual cake-mixing ceremony, held on a bright and cheerful afternoon at the Pebbles Terrace Garden. The event gathered a diverse group of guests and friends— all coming together to celebrate the spirit of the holiday season.

Long tables were set with vibrant arrays of dried fruits, nuts, spices, and flavourings, ready for the traditional mixing ritual. As guests were invited to don aprons and gloves, the terrace quickly filled with laughter, conversation, and the warm anticipation of the holidays ahead.

Together, participants folded, stirred, and blended the colourful ingredients — a symbolic gesture marking good luck, prosperity, and togetherness for the coming year. The mixture will later be matured and transformed into Square Hotel’s signature Christmas cakes.

Adding to the afternoon’s charm, Square Hotel set up a dedicated Nepali food counter, offering beloved local flavours that delighted attendees. Traditional snacks, light bites, and seasonal refreshments provided an authentic and comforting culinary experience, complementing the festive atmosphere of the ceremony.

The afternoon concluded with guests mingling, taking photos, and enjoying the relaxed ambience of the rooftop venue. Over the years, Square Hotel’s cake-mixing ceremony has grown into a signature event — not only preserving a classic tradition but also creating a warm, joyful space for guests to gather and celebrate the holiday season together.
