Nepal’s participation in The World Travel Market (WTM) 2022 — an international travel and tourism exchange expo concluded effectively.

Nepal's participation in World Travel Market (WTM) 2022, an international travel and tourism exchange expo held at ExCel, London, from November 7 to 9, 2022, concluded smoothly. The Nepal Stand in the fair was inaugurated by His Excellency Gyan Chandra Acharya, the Ambassador of Nepal to the United Kingdom, on November 7, 2022. His Excellency visited the booth of every participating company at the Nepal Stall and encouraged all the participating companies to put their efforts into promoting Nepal in the best possible way to drive the traffic of tourists to Nepal. 

The fair was attended by 24 tourism companies from Nepal under the banner of the Nepal Tourism Board. The Nepalese tourism delegation was led by the Chief Executive Officer of the Nepal Tourism Board, Dr. Dhananjay Regmi. Nepal Stand had a huge footfall of tourism professionals, marketing consultants, media, tour operators, private companies, travel writers, influencers, photographers, bloggers, content creators, etc. from Britain and other different countries.

Many tourism suppliers and stakeholders from around the world participated enthusiastically, including: National Tourism Organizations (NTOs), Tourism Ministries, Authorities, Global Tourism Organizations, Associations, Travel Agents, Tour Operators, Hoteliers, Travel Tech Companies, Transportation Operators, Airliners, Cruise Companies, Adventure Sports Companies, Media, Travel Influencers, Bloggers, Tourism Marketing Consultants, Tourism Experts, Academicians and Professors. 

The World Travel Market 2022 (WTM 2022) laid the foundation for the post COVID global tourism revival and outlined the new travel trends. WTM 2022 provided an ideal platform to reconnect the global travel fraternity to bridge the gap spawned by the COVID-19 pandemic and helped to position Nepal as an exotic and life-changing holiday destination in the global travel market.

In conjunction with Nepal's participation in WTM 2022, the Embassy of Nepal in London and the Nepal Tourism Board collaborated to organise an exclusive promotional program of Nepal - Nepal Evening, a destination presentation program on November 8, 2022, at the Nepal Embassy in London amidst an august gathering of renowned British mountaineers, tour operators, media, and other dignitaries.More than 100 British travel tour operators, media, and dignitaries attended the event.

His Excellency the Ambassador of Nepal to the UK, Gyan Chandra Acharya, and the CEO of the Nepal Tourism Board, Dr. Dhananjay Regmi, addressed the function, highlighting various tourism facets of Nepal.

Sir Chris Bonington and Alan Hinkes, renowned British mountaineers and adventurers, also recalled their expeditions and experiences in Nepal and urged all British people to visit the country for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
